Design Process Steps

  1. STEP 01

    Risk Assessment Input

The Muster360 design starts with the asset profile and risk assessment, ensuring the system addresses what was actually found on the machine.

  2. STEP 02

    Risk area mapping

Each risk area is mapped individually with its own suppression requirements.

  3. STEP 03

    Component Selection

Muster360 selects the correct cylinder/s, nozzles and agent to protect the risk areas. A full system is then designed.

  4. STEP 04

    Bill of Materials Generation

A complete, itemised parts list is generated for procurement, eliminating estimation errors.

  5. STEP 05

    Report Generation

Full report generation including risk assessment, system design and layout, commissioning and service checklists for documentation handover.

FAQs

What is Muster360 and how does it work?

Muster360 is MusterFire's digital fire suppression system design platform. It guides distributors and engineers through a structured layout process, generating a complete bill of materials, nozzle placement diagram, detection specification and commissioning documentation.

Do I need to use Muster360 directly?

Your authorised MusterFire distributor manages the Muster360 process on your behalf, so you don't need direct platform access to benefit from it.

Can Muster360 design a system for any machine type?

Muster360 accommodates a wide range of assets, from small utility vehicles to large mining excavators. For unusual configurations, MusterFire's engineering team supports the design process directly.

How long does the system design process take?

For standard machine types, a Muster360 system design can be completed in one to three business days once the risk assessment data is available.

Does the system design include commissioning documentation?

Yes. Muster360 outputs include a commissioning checklist, service checklist and a handover document.

What standards does the design comply with?

Muster360 designs are produced in alignment with AS 5062:2022 for mobile plant fire protection. All components are certified under applicable Australian Standards.

Can the design be modified after installation begins?

Yes. If unexpected site conditions require a layout change, the design can be revised in Muster360 and updated documentation issued. All changes are tracked.

Does MusterFire design systems for fixed installations?

Yes. Fixed installations including hydraulic rooms, generator enclosures and industrial processing plant are also designed using Muster360.

Can I get a bill of materials without a full site assessment?

For well-documented machine types with available technical drawings, a preliminary bill of materials can be generated remotely. A full on-site assessment is always recommended for first-time machine types.

What is the difference between a system design and a risk assessment?

A risk assessment identifies what fire hazards exist and what level of suppression is needed. A system design takes those findings and produces the engineering specification. At MusterFire, both processes are integrated through Muster360.
